Dima became interested in technology as a child after reading his father's books about electronics and getting his hands on a soldering iron. Originally, he wanted to became a doctor but then was fascinated by the internet. Dmitry continued to follow his passion at Moscow State Engineering and Physics Institute earning MSc degree in Computer Science, also finding great inspiration from the open source software movement. Then he worked for big and small telecom providers until realising that start-ups are way more fun. Dima is mostly interested in automation, monitoring and distributed systems. In his spare time he either reads books or explores distant places on a bike or under a sail.
