Now you can easily view various privacy statistics in the Cliqz Browser for Windows and Mac when you open a new tab. This gives you better insight into what Cliqz’s intelligent anti-tracking and ad blocking technology actually does for you.

Tracking protection fends off data collectors

The number under “Tracking Data Anonymized“, for example, tells you how many private data points the built-in tracking protection has removed so far to protect your personal data from being transmitted to third-party trackers. You’ll be surprised at how many private data points Cliqz removes in a short time.

Under “Blocked Ads“, you can see how many ads your browser has blocked in total since it was first launched. With the ad blocker turned on, you will benefit from faster loading websites without ads and clutter.

Ad blocker and quick search save you valuable time

Under “Time Saved” you see at a glance how many seconds, minutes or even hours you have saved while browsing with Cliqz. The time savings result from the fact that the quick search engine will get you faster to the desired result and that you don’t have to wait so long for the page to load, thanks to the built-in ad blocker.

Turn on Cliqz Ad-BlockerOf course, this only works if you have activated the ad blocker. If it is turned off, the statistics for “Ads Blocked” are paused and grayed out until you turn it on (again).

Here’s how you turn on the ad blocker:

  1. Open the Control Center by clicking on the ‘Q’ icon to the right of the address bar.
  2. Make sure that the switch for “Ad-block” is set to “ON”.

The statistics can be easily turned on and off using the Cliqz Tab settings. Simply click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of a new tab and customize Cliqz Tab to your liking.
